Lexan BIPV Panels

Aug. 6, 2012

These polycarbonate building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) panels are suitable for roofing, cladding, and glazing applications and can reduce energy consumption by up to 17% compared to traditional double-pane glass glazing.

The durable, UV-resistant polycarbonate material is lightweight, allowing easier transport and assembly. Once on site, the panels can be cold bended to form curved roofing systems that allow daylighting in addition to PV energy harvesting.

The panels allow 10, 16, 20, 25, and 40mm gauges in rectangular and X-wall configurations and are available in clear, opal white, bronze, green, blue, and gray. Lexan panels comply with IEC EN ISO/IEC 17025, EIC 61215, and IEC 61730-2 standard certifications and can also contribute to LEED certification.
