With a reflectivity of 86%, SureCoat has a solar reflective index of 108 when new and 102 at three years. It emits 93% of heat for its entire life of 10, 15, or 20 years and can help achieve up to 20% savings on energy, according to field testing.
The water-based, UV-stable coating can also be used on HVAC equipment and ducts to lower their energy demand. The coating increases the solar capture of PV panels installed over it and self-cleans to keep reflectivity high.
