Malarkey steep slope roofing shingles now use NEX polymer modified asphalt with upcycled materials. Upcycling diverts plastic from the landfill and turns it into valuable polymers that prevent 7.5 cubic yards of material and several barrels of oil from being wasted.
Shingles that use NEX also incorporate 3M smog-reducing granules that help remove nitrogen oxides from the air with a photocatalytic coating.
