The majority of parking facility owners, operators, and managers believe the leading parking industry trend is the move towards innovative technology, according to a survey conducted by the Global Parking Association of Leaders Summit.
Leading technologies included:
- GPS and mobile phone technology
- electronic payment
- sensor space-monitoring systems
- shift toward accommodating electric vehicles
Many respondents specified urban congestion as a leading factor behind implementing smart parking solutions.
