Green Building Certification Institute Rolls Out LEED Fellow Program

The GBCI has rolled out LEED Fellow, a program designed to recognize exceptional contributions to green building and significant achievement within the community of LEED Professionals.


The GBCI has rolled out LEED Fellow, a program designed to recognize exceptional contributions to green building and significant achievement within the community of LEED Professionals.

LEED Fellows will constitute an elite class of the world’s most distinguished green building professionals,” says Beth Holst, Vice President of Credentialing, GBCI. “Candidates are nominated by their peers, and the selection will be based on their body of work and the way it has contributed to advancing the field of green building.”

To be eligible for LEED Fellow, an individual must be nominated by oneself or peer.  Nominees must have 10+ years of green building experience as well as be LEED APs that have had LEED AP credentials for at least 8 cumulative years.

LEED Fellows are expected to display expert-level knowledge and experience in the areas of Technical Proficiency, Education and Mentoring, Leadership, Commitment and Service, and Advocacy.
