ASHRAE targets HVAC air leakage at AHR Expo

ASHRAE will be taking aim HVAC air leakage issues and topics during the AHR Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. A Practical Guide for Reducing Air Leakage in HVAC Air Systems will take place on Monday, Jan 31 with an update to Standard 90.01 – 2010 Update: How it Affects You,  on Tuesday, Feb 1st.


ASHRAE will be taking aim HVAC air leakage issues and topics during the AHR Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. A Practical Guide for Reducing Air Leakage in HVAC Air Systems will take place on Monday, Jan 31 with an update to Standard 90.01 – 2010 Update: How it Affects You,  on Tuesday, Feb 1st.

The Monday session will focus on energy waste generated by excessive air leakage in HVAC systems.  Current standards, guidelines, and project specifications will be examined, as well as engineer, contractor, and manufacturer roles and responsibilities.

The Tuesday session will focus on an update to ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.01-2010, Energy Sandard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings.

The 2011 ASHRAE Winter Conference is held in conjunction with the Expo and runs Jan. 29-Feb. 2 at the Las Vegas Hilton.
