BOMA International has announced that their Foundations of Real Estate Management® course has been approved by BOMI International for competency credit for the Fundamentals of Real Property Administration course in BOMI’s Real Property Administrator® (RPA) designation curriculum.

The five-module, 28-hour, entry-level course will cover the fundamentals of commercial real estate administration, management, building systems, accounting and reporting, contract management, and more. Foundations of Real Estate Management is ideal for both new and experienced commercial real estate professionals because of the breadth of topics covered. The comprehensive curriculum, reinforced with behind-the-scenes tours of outstanding buildings, supplements on-the-job and corporate training programs, and prepares new and rising talent for more real estate management responsibilities and assignments.

“We are very pleased to announce that our Foundations of Real Estate Management course has been approved for credit toward BOMI’s Real Property Administrator designation,” says BOMA Chair James A. Peck. “The Foundations course fills a critical need by providing young professionals with an understanding of commercial property management functions to ensure they thrive in our industry.”

Students must attend the Foundations course and pass an exam with a score of 70 percent or better in order to receive the credit. Additionally, students who have already taken the course are also eligible for credit. Students must also complete RPA enrollment and other application procedures with BOMI International.
