FOLSOM, Calif. (November 3, 2004) — Meridian Systems, an enterprise solution provider for optimizing the plan, build and operate phases of real estate, construction and other infrastructure programs, announces the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 certification of Proliance, Meridian's complete ILM solution for market segments dependent on physical infrastructure programs to deliver their core business to customers.
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 certification was conducted by VeriTest, a division of Lionbridge Technologies (NASDAQ: LIOX) and the exclusive provider of third-party independent testing for the Microsoft Certified for Windows program. The extensive certification testing was developed by Microsoft Corp. and establishes an unprecedented technical standard to identify applications that are secure and manageable, and that run reliably on the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems.
"Meridian is pleased to have completed Microsoft's Windows Server 2003 Certifications as further confirmation that Proliance integrates effectively into our customers’ existing enterprise application infrastructure," said John Brown, Meridian vice president of development.
Proliance passed three rigorous operating system certifications: Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition and Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition. These certifications included extensive lab testing on several hardware configurations to determine the ability of Proliance in five solution performance categories: Windows Fundamentals, Installation Requirements, Security Services, Reliability, High Availability, and 24 x 7 Support.
"Meridian understands the importance of Proliance as a mission critical enterprise ILM solution, performing in a self-hosted or ASP environment with a high degree of security, reliability, and availability. The completion of these independent certifications extends our leadership role in establishing IT performance benchmarks for companies within the ILM marketplace to evaluate when selecting a vendor," finished Brown.
Proliance comprises a powerful technology platform, built on a Service Oriented Architecture of Web Services and XML. This platform acts as an engine for the common functionality of business applications designed to automate ILM processes. Proliance also holds Microsoft .Net Connected Certification and integrates with Microsoft Office 2003, SQL Server 2003 SP3, SharePoint® Portal Servers, and BizTalk® 2004 Enterprise Servers.
As the only complete ILM solution, Proliance uniquely combines Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) functionality, Facilities Management capabilities, Business Process Management and a Business Intelligence layer in one, comprehensive solution. Proliance is the ILM solution of choice for global enterprises like Westfield Group, Trammell Crow Company and Skanska.
