Tremco’s Roofing Knowledge Seminar Gives Facility Managers and Architects the Information to Make Better Roofing Decisions

Tremco’s Roofing and Building Maintenance Division will again offer its popular Roofing Knowledge Seminar. The free, 3-day learning experience provides facility managers, facility engineers, architects, and building owners with general roofing information enabling them to make educated roofing decisions. The seminars, which are held at Tremco’s corporate offices in Beachwood, OH, will be offered on February 8- 10, 2005; February 22-24, 2005; and April 5- 7, 2005.Experienced roofing professionals will discuss important topics such as cost of quality, the importance of quality flashing detail, roof design and decisions, warranties, roof asset management, and other pertinent roofing practices Information is presented in a classroom setting with digital technology and Internet resources. The sessions include a tour of a Modified Bitumen Roofing Plant and demonstrations related to “green,” non-solvent adhesive technology. A special demonstration of fire code testing includes an Underwriter’s Laboratories (ULâ) calibrated fire testing wind tunnel. As a benefit for design professionals, each attendee may receive 18 AIA Learning Units (Health, Safety, and Welfare). This seminar is a great introduction for roofing newcomers, while also offering a thorough review for those who already have roofing experience.
