New Turnstiles are Mid-priced Option for Securing Building Lobbies.
Bastrop, Texas - Designed Security Inc. (DSI) has added mechanical turnstiles to its line of access management solutions. The turnstiles offer a mid-priced option for securing building lobbies in which access control is a priority. "Mechanical turnstiles can help security and building managers reach their security objectives while staying within budget," said Curtis Lamson, DSI sales manager. "The turnstiles can provide effective employee access control and can reduce tailgating, which may decrease the need for multiple personnel to monitor building access."DSI models range from the Classic and Mini-Classic Series of mechanical turnstiles to a sleek and modern Millennium Series. The turnstiles are compatible with any major access control system and are field configurable for a variety of functions. The units will monitor traffic flow of up to 20 people per minute per lane while sensor and mechanical systems ensure only one person enters for each valid card. All models also include added security options including a drop arm feature for quick building evacuation and a random search feature. In addition to mechanical turnstiles, DSI manufactures optical turnstiles, door alarms, annunciators, pushbuttons, key switches, tailgate detection, and mantrap systems.
