March 30, 2004
(Burlington, MA) March 30, 2004—Framework Technologies announced today that the Department of Facilities at PrincetonUniversity has selected its ActiveAEC™ solution to assist in the management of the university’s $1 billion Capital Improvement Program. Facilities will use ActiveAEC to ensure a consistent process for different project types including new construction, renovation, and major maintenance.   Framework's ActiveAEC synchronizes the entire project team, consisting of Princeton Facilities administrators, internal project and construction managers, participating technical team members, external architects/engineers, contractors, and subcontractors; allowing all team members to work collaboratively; to understand when their participation and/or work is required; and to be constantly aware of issues and changes.  By integrating ActiveAEC with Primavera’s P3E scheduling software, facilities executives and project managers will be able to view key milestones and collaborate on critical decisions necessary to delivering projects on time and budget. Risk management and problem resolution will be facilitated through improved collaboration of the entire project team."We plan to utilize ActiveAEC on all major capital projects, to enable the efficient evaluation from a summary executive level down through the detailed transactional level for both the project schedule and the project financial information, because of the integration of ActiveAEC with our scheduling and financial software,” said Greg Bressler, Princeton’s director of Facilities Administrative Services. “We anticipate saving countless work hours over the next five years by streamlining our communications and enabling all project team members to truly work collaboratively." "Princeton Facilities organization has embarked on an ambitious capital improvement program," said Donald Tomkinson, Framework Technologies' president and CEO. "ActiveAEC is an ideal solution to manage such a complex program. Everyone from facilities management to individual project managers and subcontactors will now have an organized, accessible method of accessing and sharing critical project information. ActiveAEC will play a critical role in helping facilities deliver their project portfolio on time and on budget."About Framework Technologies
