WSA Annunciators, Division of the Acme Group, Acquires the Assets of Safetech International Inc.

February 20, 2004: WSA Annunciators announced today that it has acquired the assets of SAFETECH International Inc., a Lenexa, KS, diversified company in the design, manufacture, and distribution of fire and life safety products.  SAFETECH has earned respect as one of the emerging leaders in advanced digital communications technology. The acquired product line now becomes part of the newly forged WSA Fire Systems family of products. WSA is recognized as a “one-stop-shop.” WSA’s product line-up emcompasses fire alarms; life safety; security products and services including Access Control, Visitor Management, and Enterprise Security Package; and other related offerings.WSA’s client list reads like a Who’s Who of American & International industry and government: City of New York, Port Authority of NY & NJ, NASA, U.S. Department of Defense, Lockheed Martin, and Corn Products are but a few on their roster of customers.Walter Stanzione, president and CEO of WSA Fire Systems, indicated that the products and services of SAFETECH International will be an important addition to the broad line of products & services already offered by his firm. Stanzione said that the Series 3000 fire alarm control system offers integrators the most technologically advanced product on the market today and provides the life safety industry, and the end-users they serve, a unique opportunity to upgrade both security and fire protection products from one source. Stanzione also commented that WSA Fire Systems would be making more acquisition announcements in the near future.
