EFCO Corporation Celebrates 50 Years In Service To Industry & Community

Aug. 29, 2003

Monett, Missouri—EFCO Corporation celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2003, marking half a century of growth for a company that began as a two-person shop in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1953. The company now employs more than 1,800 employees, with facilities totaling 901,000 square feet in Missouri, Illinois, Virginia, Texas, and South Carolina.

EFCO Corporation plans a number of observances of the anniversary throughout 2003, some of which will reach beyond the organization itself to the people of the various communities in which the company operates.

“EFCO Corporation has always made a point of engaging our communities as well as the industry,” said Mike Woodrum, Director of Marketing for EFCO Corporation. “It’s only natural for us to acknowledge them during a celebration like this one. Without their support, we’d never be where we are today—and the benefits work both ways, as we pump about $60 million annually back into our communities’ economies through payroll, purchasing, local taxes, local and national charitable donations, and sponsorships.”

EFCO has donated windows to Monett Schools, Southwest Missouri State University, the University of Missouri, the local Monett hospital, Monett City Hall and other public buildings, and a number of civic organizations in the area. The company has also donated funds for scholarships to the local high school, the architectural schools at Drury University in Springfield, the Universities of Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, and Clemson, and the engineering programs at Washington University.

EFCO Corporation is a leading U.S. manufacturer of aluminum windows, entrances, storefronts, and curtain wall systems for commercial architectural applications.
