Antron Design Awards Hit a Landmark

This year marks the 20^th anniversary of the Antron Design Award competition. This year’s ceremony featured a brand new award, the Sustainable Flooring award. This award recognizes the timeless beauty of Antron Carpet that has remained on the floor for 10 or more years.The award ceremony celebrates the marriage of unique interior design and innovative floor covering. Last April at the beautiful Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, the competition also honored its 2002 Design Award and Product Innovation winners.Antron is now accepting entries for the 2003 competition. Since 1983, this award has recognized those who are setting new standards of creativity in commercial interior design through the innovative use of carpet. Entries are judged first on creativity and originality of the carpet application, second on overall design innovation, and third on how well the design meets the client’s business objectives. Winners will be part of a national publicity campaign and will receive a $1,000 monetary prize. An additional $1,000 grant will be awarded to the environmental research project of the winner’s choice. All award entries must be received no later than September 12^th.
