Open Enrollment Now Available For Facility and Property Managers
Tempe, AZ-based Environmental Support Solutions (ESS) has expanded its mold awareness training program. Designed to teach facilities management professionals how to establish effective mold prevention strategies, the training is now available for open enrollment. ESS is the leading provider of environmental, health and safety (EH&S) and crisis management software that helps organizations comply with regulatory programs.

The eight-hour Mold Awareness training course is designed to assist maintenance professionals and facilities and property managers in developing an active management and response program for water and mold-related incidences. The class helps participants better understand standard of care guidelines, and employ mold prevention strategies and investigative protocols in the event microbial contamination is suspected.

"Mold is one of the biggest environmental issues facility and property manager's face today," said Brian McFarland, IAQ program manager, Environmental Support Services, Tempe, AZ. "Organizations are continually held liable for the quality of the air inside their buildings and failure to respond to problems, whether actual or perceived, can be interpreted as negligence by the courts, which could bring an extremely costly interruption to your business."

Participants of the class receive an ESS Mold Awareness and Management Manual; a draft water restoration and mold prevention plan; due diligence reporting forms; and upon completion of a 50-question exam, a certificate recognizing them as Fixed Site Mold Awareness Specialists from the National Registry of Environmental Professionals.
