Boston, Massachusetts—April 15, 2003—ARCHIBUS, Inc.—developer of the world’s #1 facilities and infrastructure management solution—is celebrating 20 years of excellence in this business. The company, which is headquartered in Boston, began as a technology development group within Jung/Brannen Associates, a prestigious Boston-based architectural firm. In 1982, the technology group spun off to focus on developing software solutions that help manage the physical assets—such as space, equipment, telecommunications, leases, maintenance, and more—associated with buildings and real estate portfolios. Over the past 20 years, ARCHIBUS, Inc. has established a global presence in facilities and infrastructure automation, with clients in all six continents. ARCHIBUS/FM users include such diverse organizations as JPMorgan; Procter & Gamble; General Motors; U.S. Navy; Turner Broadcasting; Massachusetts General Hospital, MetLife, Telefonica Spain, University of Sydney, Siemens Medical Systems, among thousands of other clients. ARCHIBUS/FM has remained the most widely-used solution for facilities and infrastructure management, despite the dozens of competitors that have since entered this large market ($2 billion projected in 2002 according to the Gartner Group). Today, ARCHIBUS has broadened its scope to address homeland security initiatives and mitigate business risk with its Emergency Preparedness application.
