Large Contractor Signs On to Use Mps' Prolog Line
Folsom, Calif. (April 5, 2002) - Meridian Project Systems (MPS), a leading software and application service provider of project management solutions, announced today that Roebbelen/Kleeman Roebbelen has standardized on MPS' Prolog Manager to increase overall project efficiency and eliminate costs associated with using disparate applications."After evaluating several top project management programs, our decision boiled down to whether we wanted to continue to maintain an in-house database or commit to Meridian Project Systems' Prolog Manager," said Brad Meade, vice president of Roebbelen. "We selected MPS' Prolog Manager because of its extremely comprehensive document management and cost control modules, in addition to its overall functionality and in-depth feature list."Headquartered in El Dorado Hills, Calif., Roebbelen/Kleeman Roebbelen is a large general contractor that was recently ranked by the Sacramento Business Journal as the number one General Building Contractor and the 26th Largest Private Company in the Sacramento area. The company is best known for its work in both the private and public sectors, with clients like SBC/Pacific Bell, Folsom Cordova Unified School District, General Motors, Aetna and the J.C. Penney Co. "Using Prolog, we are able to centralize and collaborate on all of our projects' budgets, RFIs, change orders and other documents at a corporate level which we couldn't do using different, less robust applications for each project," Meade said. "The standardization on MPS' Prolog is expected to reduce our overall project costs, a savings that we will pass on to our clients.""We're pleased that such a notable contractor is standardizing on our products," said Al Marshall, vice president of sales and marketing at Meridian Project Systems. "I have no doubt that the Roebbelen organization will expand on its success by creating one corporate standard and investing in training so its employees can maximize the return on investment."Meade also stated that MPS' nearby location made their decision easier, "Meridian Project Systems' local roots provide us with an opportunity to remain active and participate in the shaping of e-commerce technology. I'm equally proud that Sacramento has a prominent software company that is among the nation's top business-to-business, high tech solution providers."
