About Colin Rohlfing, director of sustainable development for HDR
Colin works directly with design teams to capitalize on proven and high performance opportunities, helping to infuse new thinking about human and environmental health.
He has extensive experience guiding sustainable design integration in diverse projects and is passionate about facilitating the marriage of performance and aesthetics, believing both are necessary for a project’s success.
Colin has been recognized on Building Design + Construction magazine’s and Design Futures Council’s “40 Under 40” lists and Engineering News-Record magazine’s “20 Under 40” list. He has received a USGBC Illinois Natural Leader Award, among others.
Janelle Penny has been with BUILDINGS since 2010. She is a two-time FOLIO: Eddie award winner who aims to deliver practical, actionable content for building owners and facilities professionals.
