FilzFelt Introduces Sustainable Acoustic Wall Panels
FilzFelt announces the launch of four acoustic wall panels—Drift, Mesa, Peak, and Valley (pictured)—designed by Germany-based designer Bernd Benninghoff. All four feature a bold, sculptural approach to acoustic design, with three-dimensional designs created through precise cuts, folds, and bends in the acoustic substrate. The interplay of light and shadow across the angular surfaces adds a dramatic effect.
Crafted with natural wool felt and high-performance acoustic material, the panels deliver a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.90 for dependable acoustic performance. The wool felt is 100% biodegradable and compostable at the end of the panels’ life, and the Akustika substrate contains 60% post-consumer recycled content and is also 100% recyclable. Choose from 95 color options. These wall panels are Living Building Challenge Criteria Compliant and Prop 65 compliant; they also meet requirements for Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified Product Class II and VOC test limits for the CDPH v1.2 method.
