Spinneybeck Introduces Søuld Fragments Acoustic Wall Tiles

Made from eelgrass offcuts, this sustainable option helps soften sound.

Søuld Fragments by Spinneybeck is a modular wall tile crafted from eelgrass, a marine plant grown along the shores of Denmark. Eelgrass loses its leaves as part of its annual lifecycle and is collected after it washes ashore; it’s then transformed into durable sheets as part of a circular manufacturing process. Søuld Fragments is produced from offcuts generated from the production of those sheets.

The resulting acoustic tiles achieve a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) rating of 0.70, helping soften sound and creating a more comfortable and welcoming environment across a range of spaces, from hospitality and office interiors to residential settings. Each tile has soft, rounded edges and precise chamfer details that crate dimension, shadow, and visual rhythm.
