RECALL: Office Chairs From Various Brands

June 26, 2017

The product recall includes 47,900 office chairs in the U.S., including brands: HON Nucleus, Sitmatic Beta, JSI/Jasper Seating Protocol and Proxy and Hugg Jaguar.

Several chair models from five different brands have been recalled after finding that the seat slider bolts and push nuts can disconnect and fall from the chair, potentially being able to result in the seat detaching from the chair.

The chair models involved in the recall include: HON Nucleus; Sitmatic Beta; JSI/Jasper Seating Protocol, and Proxy; Hugg Jaguar, Lido, Verona, Tigre, Leon, Opus, and Regis; and Via Seating Proform, Brisbane, Genie, and Riva Act II.

The recall in total includes 47,900 office chairs in the U.S. (plus 1,000 in Canada) with a Leggett & Platt Office Components LP01 synchro slider mechanism. No injuries have been reported at this time, according to U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall 17-158.

Facility managers who use recalled chairs in their buildings, please contact the manufacturer of the slider mechanism for a free repair. Leggett & Platt can be reached at 844-516-3615, [email protected], or www.lpworkfurniture.com.
