This Independent Chilled Beam System is Ultra-Efficient

Astra Beam is a non-ducted fan coil that harnesses the power of chilled water to extract heat from indoor air, ensuring a consistently comfortable temperature without noise, large energy bills or a carbon footprint. The independently active chilled beam system has a single grille to handle supply and return air while providing easy access to the fan coil, unlike traditional horizontal fan coils, which require large access panels.

Astra Beam is equipped with a 24VDC tangential fan and circulates air through a high-capacity hydronic coil. It can deliver up to 1.5 tons of cooling using 43 degrees F. entering chilled water and operates on 54 watts of 24VDC power, translating to an efficiency of .08 watts per CFM. Its integrated condensate tray manages condensation to ensure dry and comfortable spaces. It requires no line voltage electrical connections.
