Gain Visibility Over Small Zones with Automated Logic’s TS8 Wi-Fi Communicating Thermostat

Offices, retail spaces, and classrooms often rely on legacy standalone thermostats. This model enables centralized control for facility teams.

Automated Logic, part of Carrier Global Corporation, has announced the TS8 Wi-Fi communicating thermostat, which delivers in-space comfort control for building occupants and is designed for BACnet configuration into the WebCTRL building automation system (BAS).

Many commercial buildings centrally manage core HVAC systems through a BAS, but smaller zones like offices, retail spaces, and classrooms often still rely on standalone, non-communicating thermostats. The TS8 replaces legacy thermostats with a BACnet Testing Laboratories-certified solution that enables connection to existing HVAC equipment and integrates with compatible BAS platforms via BACnet/IP (Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz) or BACnet MS/TP. The thermostat features pre-configured application logic to support rooftop units, heat pumps, and fan coils, with flexible parameters to adapt to different applications. A 4.3-inch color touchscreen provides occupants with simple, local control of space temperature, fan speed, and operating modes, while facility teams gain centralized visibility and control.
