Sabin’s LAYER Planar Acoustical Lighting Fixtures Create Depth in Indoor Spaces

LAYER by Sabin is a series of planar acoustical lighting fixtures that can be physically stacked or layered to build depth and create transitions. The four shapes—DISC, OBROUND, TRIANGLE, and RECTANGLE—are each available unlit or with downlight, linear, or diffuse illumination. They can be stretched, compressed, and proportioned for any environment.

Each is built from two layers of 9mm PET felt and finished with a sewn 1.5mm edge that forms a subtle regress along the bottom plane, creating a precise profile that elevates the fixture. Color temperatures range from 2700K to 4000K at 90+ Color Rendering Index (CRI), with outputs from 750 to 3,000 lumens. The fixtures also have a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) rating of 0.85+.
