Unified Steel Stone Coated Roofing by Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions is a lightweight roofing solution that lasts nearly three times as long as asphalt shingles, has a Class 4 impact rating and Very Severe Hail rating, and can be installed with specific underlay for a Class A fire rating in the most severe fire-prone areas. When specified in Cool Roof Rated colors, like the new Stirling Gray and Harborwood, they also reflect sunlight and radiate absorbed heat away from the building, helping to increase comfort, reduce energy costs, and prolong the roof’s lifespan.

Stirling Gray and Harborwood are both available in two profiles: Pine-Crest Shake (which replicates hand-split wood shake) and Pacific Tile (a Mediterranean style). The pigments in the colors help reflect as much as 53% of the sun’s solar energy, compared to 10% for an asphalt shingle; both Cool Roof Rated colors exceed California Energy Code Title 24 Part 6 Cool Roof Requirements and have a Solar Reflective Index (SRI) greater than 20, meeting LA County’s more stringent SRI requirements.

This product is a 2025 Product Innovation Award winner.

Judge’s Comment: “Great alternative to asphalt shingles.”
