The layered 13-gauge nylon shell is augmented with a 7-gauge napped acrylic lower liner, plus a seamless and stretchable full knit wrist that keeps dirt, debris, and cold air from getting inside the glove. Foam latex coating on the fingers, palm, and three-quarters deep on the back stays soft in the cold. The sponge-like foam coating provides a good dry gripping surface.
