New Green Parking Certification Launches

June 4, 2014

Gain ground on sustainability goals.

Intended as the parking industry equivalent of LEED, the Green Garage Certification program was launched today by the Green Parking Council, an affiliate of the International Parking Institute.

The consensus-driven program recognizes high standards in sustainable parking facility design, technology, operations, and management.

“Green Garage Certification provides both a roadmap and assessment tool for real estate owners, developers, planners, architects, tenants, parking operators, and others to strive toward a more environmentally and economically sustainable future,” says Paul Wessel, executive director of the Green Parking Council.
