Energy Apps: Coming to a Device Near You

Feb. 20, 2014
Could one of these apps change the way you work?

As a part of the DOE’s Apps for Energy II contest, facility managers can check out the newest energy apps and weigh in on which is the most effective.

The DOE is offering up to $100,000 in prizes for innovative energy apps and ideas in a push to encourage developers to utilize the various open data sets available. Several APIs, or application program interfaces, could prove to be valuable in developing apps for commercial buildings, including the Commercial Building Energy Asset Score and the Buildings Performance Database.
