A product recall has been issued for Hazen Mesh Task chairs from Staples. The recall was made because the bases of chairs can break, posing a falling hazard.
The recall affects about 124,000 chairs sold at Staples stores, and online at staples.com, staplesadvantage.com, and quill.com from October 2014 to April 2017.
Thus far, Staples has received 20 incident reports related to the chairs, including three reports of injuries, according to U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall 17-180.
The chair has a five-wheel base, black fabric seat cushion, and black mesh seat back. Under the cushion, a white label is printed with SKU number 1058246 and item number 26680.
If the aforementioned description fits your chairs, you are directed to stop using the chairs and contact Staples for a free replacement base.
