Beantown, the Cradle of Liberty, the Athens of America—whatever you call it, Boston is full of rich history and iconic landmarks. It’s also the host city for the 2025 BOMA International Conference & Expo, where property professionals will network with peers, build new skills, and see exciting products.

Our guide to the 2025 BOMA show explores the top-notch educational sessions, can’t-miss vendors, and inspiring keynote speakers you can expect this year.

    Blaze Your Educational Path

This year, the conference educational sessions have been reimagined to give attendees different session formats to suit different learning preferences. Some sessions are 60 minutes, while others are 90 minutes. The sessions are also categorized into one of three levels of experience and interest—Essentials, Experienced, or Leadership. You can expect actionable insights and deep dives into emerging industry trends with topics like:

    Map Your Expo Floor Journey

More than 300 trusted exhibitors will pack the expo floor, offering new products and services to make your properties safer and smarter. Say hi to returning exhibitors and connect with new ones, such as first-time exhibitors ArtLifting and Something Fishy. Be sure to check out the floorplan or exhibitor list before you get to Boston and make a game plan about who you’d like to visit with—the size of the expo floor can make it difficult (though not impossible!) to plan on the fly.

Plus, be sure to enter the prize drawings for a chance to win money, one of the popular Mobile-Shop maintenance carts, or free registration to the 2026 BOMA International Conference & Expo!

    Get Inspired with Keynote Speakers

BOMA 2025 will host two keynote speakers this year who will make you think and leave a lasting impression. On Sunday, check out Brad Meltzer, New York Times best-selling author and host of the History Channel’s Lost History and Decoded. Sponsored by BuildingEngines, his keynote will mix humor and inspirational storytelling to invite attendees to consider their legacy—a fundamental source of resilience.

On Monday, Dan Thurmon—Hall of Fame speaker, author, researcher, and executive coach—will discuss the positives of chaos and how crisis can be transformed into clarity and advantage. He’ll share illuminating findings from a first-of-its-kind study on chaos in this Yardi-sponsored keynote and reveal effective strategies and attributes leaders can use to succeed in chaotic times.

Just before Thurmon’s keynote, join BOMA International President and Chief Operating Officer Mary Lue Peck for BOMA International’s annual State of the Industry address, in which she’ll look at where commercial real estate finds itself today and share insights on how the industry is changing for the long term.

    Don’t Miss the TOBY Awards!

The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards, set for the evening of July 1, will showcase the best in commercial real estate. The Home Depot Pro is sponsoring the event, which will honor buildings in 17 categories. Can’t make it? Be sure to check buildings.com on Wednesday morning to read the winners and see photos from the gala.

Incoming 2025-2026 chair Luci Smith will be inducted at the ceremony; check out our interview with her to learn the best advice she’s received in commercial real estate and hear her predictions for the industry.
