The Growth of Intelligent Efficiency Technology

May 15, 2017

While there are many products and services that use intelligent efficiency and provide savings all sectors of the economy, there hasn't been data to prove just how much--until now.

ACEEE has recently released findings after exploring the benefits of intelligent efficiency, a term for energy efficiency made possible by the responsive, adaptive, and predictive capabilities of information and communication technologies (ICT).

Efficient technologies save building energy by improving control and operation of systems, facilities, organizations and even entire cities. While there are many products and services that contain intelligent efficiency and provide savings all sectors of the economy, there is very little data-backed information available to illustrate just how much.

ACEEE's new study solves this issue and documents the recent growth in use of intelligent efficiency across the US economy. It identifies how and how much ICT is being used to save energy.
